Melanie + Adam 03.24.07

Oh...what to say about this couple.  I guess I should start at the beginning.  Melanie is the closest thing I have to a big sister.  We worked together in college, and later lived together in our little blue house on Florida Avenue.  So many stories to tell, but we'll stick to the relevant ones.  Now ladies, if we're honest with ourselves, we all can think back to a time when we were convinced all men were evil.  The summer of 2005 was that time for Mel and me.  We both had nothing positive to say about the opposite sex, which is probably how were able to meet the wonderful men we married that summer:  we weren't looking for them.

I was ambushed into meeting Bryan that June by his sister, Andrea.  Melanie was with there and managed to kick me into gear and out of my shell enough for Bryan to brave calling me the next day.  I got to return the favor a few months later when I answered the door for Melanie's blind date with Adam.  My job was to make sure he wasn't scary or weird.  My response was to go back to her room, tell her to hurry and make sure she wore something cute because he looked like a keeper.

A year and a half later, we all met in Gulf Shores for a beautiful beach wedding.  The wedding was very intimate with less than 30 guests in attendance.  The ceremony was held right on the shore, with a nice cool breeze coming in with the breaking waves.  Guests were invited to a small reception at the couple's condo.  We finished off the evening with sunset pictures on the sand.

Today Melanie and Adam Strawbridge live in San Antonio, Texas.  Last July, they welcomed their first son, Samuel Aiden Strawbridge.
